The Ultimate Bridal Shower Checklist So You Don’t Get Caught Unawares

By  |

You want to make your friend happy during the months before she gets married, so certainly you’d be planning a bridal shower for her. As the bridesmaid, you need to have a bridal shower checklist so the surprise plan doesn’t fail.
Here’s your checklist for her bridal shower:

1. Before the shower

You should already know what day you’d be getting married before picking a date. It’s usually about 2 months to 2 weeks before the wedding date. It’s actually advisable you go a month before your wedding for more proportionate planning.

You should know the number of people you want to invite. Ensure that you know the people the bride would love to have there.

Is it a gypsy or beach or masked theme? Or could it be an ‘Aloha’ theme or royal ball theme? Get the appropriate costumes and decorations for whichever one you choose. Decide!

That’s obviously the most important right now. Where is the party going to be? Of course, you don’t have to spend so much on a location but decide where it’s going to be, and ensure the bride would love it!

You could create invitations by print or mail, depending on what’s more comfortable for you and the guests.

2. Getting ready!

Don’t forget to use your guest list to send invites, leaving no one out.

Contact the professionals you need for the bridal shower and get them prepared. Florists, caterers, photographers, make-up artistes, all of them!

One of the bridesmaids should be social enough to prepare the games and create a programme to make the shower lively. It’s advisable one of you is the MC. It makes it fun!

3. Shower week and shower day!

You can create a spot where guests place their gifts, so the whole place doesn’t become crowded.
